Parental supervision of parent-youth communication plays an important role in promoting confidence in their parents and in developing young people's behavioral intentions.

Parenting is perceived as a risk factor for adolescent suicide risk, depression, suicide attempts, and other mental health problems. Parents who know how their children's parents perceive their child's risk of suicide has a proven impact on the risk of adolescent involvement. The children's perception that their parents negotiate time unsupervised influences their perceived parenting methods and behavior.

Open communication between parents and young people is, therefore, a means of improving parental supervision and knowledge.

In addition to direct effects, the results of the present study suggest that monitoring by parents can improve the confidence of adolescents in their parents by influencing the quality of parent-child communication.

In the current study, we investigated new insights into the role of parental communication in the development of child-to-child communication and the importance of parental monitoring. In this study, we investigate the effects of parents and adolescents in dyads who participated in a program to improve communication between parents, adolescents, and their parents. Each parent completed a knowledge monitoring questionnaire and a survey on the relationship between parent and child.

It has been suggested that such a process of mediation could be embedded in the communication of parents - the communication of young people since parental supervision and parental knowledge is linked to trust, which in turn is linked to the communication of parents and young people.

Although there is extensive research on parental supervision, few studies have focused on the role of parents involved in juvenile delinquency. Little is known about the mechanisms by which the neural representations of parents and adolescents in parent-child communication are linked, and intermediate processes could explain this relationship.

However, teenagers who reported successful parental monitoring expressed significantly less sexual intentions. In contrast to other parental monitoring measures, there was a significant increase in the likelihood of having sex with a female person, which made up the difference in sexual intentions between men and women in terms of sexual activity. Successful parental monitoring reduced the proportion of sexual intercourse with female subjects. Adolescent men who perceived a low level of surveillance by their parents were significantly less likely to be sexually active than men who perceived a high level of surveillance.

Overall, parent-youth communication plays an important role in preventing suicide, depression, and other mental health problems in adolescents. Parents who monitor their children successfully may also be able to promote healthy relationships with their children's peers and family members.
